For active personalities, you can ride along on the many paths throughout the island that are well marked for safety. Rollerblade and bike rentals are easily available throughout the island. If you’re into being on the ocean, there are bodyboard rentals available all over the 6 miles of white sand beaches on the Isle of Palms. Also, boating opportunities include rentals available for kayaks and canoes, sailboats and you can even book a luxury harbour cruise.

The Isle of Palms is in the top ten for nationally ranked tennis resorts, both clay and hard court surfaces are available. For those walking along the coastline, beachcombing is a very popular activity - as a large variety of seashells are easily found. Also, watch the water and the sky to spot the local wildlife – osprey, pelicans, dolphins and sea turtles are commonly spotted all along the oceanfront.

For golf, don’t miss a trip up island to the Wild Dunes Resort, an area occupying 1500 acres on the northern end of the Isle of Palms. Wild Dunes has two world class 18-hole Tom Fazio golf courses available at the resort. Other activities to enjoy on the Isle of Palms include shuffleboard, skateboarding, fishing contests and shopping (including 2 shopping centres and a grocery store).
